Successful and very productive physical transnational partners’meeting held in Helsinki, Finland – 23-27 June 2025

The first physical transnational partners’ meeting was organised by the host partner Karelia University of Applied Sciences with the participation by all partners. The meeting was opened by Dr. Liisa Timonen – Director of International Affairs and a board member at Karelia University of Applied Sciences who warmly welcomed the partners and explained that the project is very important part of Karelia’s mission.

Prof. Dsc Dora Levterova-Gadjalova – project coordinator on behalf of Plovdiv University “P. Hilendarski” welcomed the partners and presented the recent status of the project and highlighted on the main outcomes so far.

Important part of discussions was the presentation of the improved version of the project result 1. Teachers’ supportive handbook on phenomenon based learning concept combining science, geography, mathematics, history. The partners discussed the recent enhancements and agreed on the final development steps.

The have also planned how to develop the next project result – R2.Online supportive course including self-assessment mechanism on green competences acquisition with regards to climate change via phenomenon based learning for students with mild disabilities – a sessions led by Prof. PhD Cristina Sanchez Romero from UNED, Spain.

Andrean Lazarov from BIST, Bulgaria presented the recent version of R3. E-learning platform to facilitate distance learning process via phenomenon based learning, which will be used as a main e-learning hub during the pilot implementation phase.

There were also dedicated sessions for internal quality assurance, dissemination and exploitation with the participation by all partners.
